An urgent appeal for assistance to be rendered to settlers in Bira Bidjan, was issued yesterday by the White Russian Zik.
The Zik asks that physicians, medicine and winter clothes be dispatched to Bira Bidjan at once. It also asks that fifty builders be sent at once to build shelters for those who are now without a roof over their heads.
Not forgetting the cultural aspects, the Zik also requests that teachers and films be sent to help uplift the settlers.
