Davar publishes a strong denunciation of the practice of spying on innocent persons, which the Palestine government, is openly permitting by not interfering with the activities of the Arab “secret service,” youths who are volunteering to guard the frontiers and to apprehend persons whom they suspect of being “illegal.” This is a reflection upon the government itself, says the paper.
These uneducated, untrained youths, who persuade residents on the borders to join in the manhunts, are embarking upon a course which is bound to lead to the direct consequences, Davar warns, pointing out that the permission of this practice will induce a psychology among the Arabs that they are masters and owners of this land, which is false.
