The Actions Committee ratified an agreement providing for joint management of all Israel Government controlled and Jewish National Fund owned lands. The pact, for five years, is automatically renewable for another five unless either party serves notice of non-renewal.
The administration of the lands held by both parties will be under a Cabinet Minister. The JNF will assume responsibility for development, afforestation and cultivation policies on the lands and, for this purpose, will be authorized to raise funds abroad. The agreement does not call for either party to deed title to its lands to the other.
