A new 500,000 pound Zionist Center was opened here yesterday at a ceremony heavily attended by South African Zionists of all political colorations.
The building, which occupies half a block, houses the offices of the Zionist Federation of South Africa, the Board of Jewish Education and other Jewish organizations. It contains one of the largest and most modern auditoriums in the city as well as a large number of smaller meeting rooms and committee chambers.
