A committee of seven prominent American Zionists to deal with questions pertaining to the organization of the Jewish Agency and other problems concerning Palestine during the period preceding the formation of the Jewish Agency was appointed by Dr. Chaim Weizmann, President of the World Zionist Organization, before his departure for Europe last week, the “Jewish Daily Bulletin” learns.
The committee which was appointed to work in conjunction with a committee of seven prominent non-Zionists named by Louis Marshall, consists of the following members: Dr. Mordecal M. Kaplan, Isidore D. Morrison, Morris Rothenberg, Julius Simon, Jacob Fishman, Mrs. Zip Szold, Judge William M. Lewis, Philadephia, and Louis Lipsky, ex-officio as president of the Zionist Organization of America.
The non-Zionist committee of seven is headed by Felix M. Warburg, as chairman, and includes Dr. Lee K. Frankel, Dr. Cyrus Adler, Philadelphia. James H.Becker, Chicago, David A. Brown, Detroit, Col. Herbert H. Lehman, New York, and Dr. Julian Morgenstern, Cincinnati, with Mr. Marshall as ex-officio member.
The Zionist committee of seven is subject to instructions from the Zionist Executive in London.
