The fifth national convention of the United Zionist Organization, a Brazil-wide federation of Zionist groups of all political hues, adopted today a resolution calling for strengthened Jewish education and pioneering activities in this country. It was also decided to continue the linkage between the United Zionist Organization and the Keren Hayesod, fund-raising arm of the Zionist movement.
Among the delegates to the convention were: 52 representatives of the Mapai; 26 General Zionists; 25 Mapam members; 21 Revisionists; 10 representatives of the United Religious movement (formerly Mizrachi and Poale Mizrachi); seven members of Achdut Avodah, and five independents.
