The Palestine Zionist Executive has received from many of the immigration centres abroad telegraphic replies to an enquiry as to the number of immigration certificates distributed out of the total granted during the recent allocations on account of the last schedulc. The replies indicate that in the majority of cases the certificates have already been distributed, and that in addition a far larger number of immigrants in all centres have been approved and are waiting for permits from the new schedule at present under official consideration.
The Warsaw Office reports that after allocating all the certificates at its disposal, one thousand will be needed to meet its immediate demands.
The Palestine Office at Vienna asks for five hundred certificates; Czernowitz is in need of 500; kovno requires 200; America, Brazil and Argentine demand 50 each.
Persian Zionists request 100 certificates for the Kussian refugees stranded there as a result of their attempt to reach Palestine on foot.
Various countries, including Russia have sent requests for the immediate allocation of additional certificates.
