The World Zionist Executive was asked today by the United Zionists-Revisionists of America to inform the U.S. Central Shekel and Election Board of the necessity of postponing the elections of delegates to the forthcoming World Zionist Congress, since the congress has been postponed until December.
In a cable sent to the executive in Jerusalem, the United Zionists-Revisionists charged that the decision of the U.S. Election Board to hold elections on June 16, despite the postponement of the congress, is contrary to the “specific request and instructions of the World Zionist Executive and against the best interests and traditions of the Zionist movement.” The cable warned the executive “to prevent a situation which would have extremely unpleasant repercussions.”
