A resolution approving the change in the text of the Shekel which entitles the purchaser to a vote in the elections to the next World Zionist Congress, was adopted today by the General Zionists. This change, which makes party discipline obligatory for every Zionist, may prevent the Revisionists from participating in the Congress.
The morning session of the Zionist Actions Committee was devoted today to a debate on the barter agreement reached between certain Jewish groups in Palestine and Nazi Germany. It is understood that a number of Jewish leaders who originally supported the agreement are now definitely against it since it violates the boycott which the Jews all over the world have declared against German goods.
BANK FAILURE UP
A serious discussion developed during the morning session when the question of the Jewish Colonial Trust, the liquidated Zionist bank, came up on the agenda. Members of the Actions Committee demanded a detailed explanation as to why this bank was liquidated and asked for a complete report on the assets and liabilities of the bank. A resolution on this subject as well as on the barter agreement with Germany is expected tonight.
