The South American Zionist Conference, now in session here, heard reports today from delegates of various nations that Zionism is increasing its influence in Jewish life in their countries.

Josef Leron-Lerner, Israel official, reported on economic issues in the Jewish states. During two days of meetings, the convention has discussed various organizational matters with a majority of the delegates supporting the idea of a single regional Zionist organization. Left-wing Mapam and right-wing Revisionist delegates oppose this proposal and support instead the formation of local Zionist central councils.
