A number of Zionist leaders have been arrested in Hungary on charges of allegedly aiding the organization of illegal emigration from the country, according to reliable information reaching here today from Hungary.
Among the arrested are Dr. Bela Denes, a Mapai leader; Gena Frenkel, of the Mizrachi; and, Alexander Kertes, a leader of Mapam. The government has emphasized that the arrests were not made because of the former Zionist activities of the three leaders, the report said.
