Eleven former Zionist leaders who were arrested hare recently on charges of promoting illegal mass emigration of Jews from Hungary will go on trial June 17, it was announced here today.
Emigration of Jews from Hungary to Israel is now restricted to parents and children of persons already resident in the Jewish state. The 11 Jewish leaders were arrested not because of their former Zionist activities, but in connection with the illegal emigration of Jews from Hungary which was resumed recently, the authorities emphasized.
