A body of nine, together with the officers, will constitute the Governing Council of the Zionist Organization of America, according to an announcement issued yesterday by Louis Lipsky, President of the Organization. These nine are recruited from the larger Administrative Committee of forty, and will directly manage the affairs of the organization.
The Governing Council was made up at the last meeting of the Administrative Committee which also elected Dr. Abraam J. Rongy, New York physician, as secretary of the organization. The Council consists of the following chairmen of committees, as follows: Herman Bernstein, Foreign Affairs; David Freiberger Organization; Abraham Goldberg, Propaganda; Rabbi Israel Goldstein, Youth and Education; Irving Rosenzweig, Palestine Investments; Dr. David J. Kaliski, Hebrew University; Dr. Nathan Ratnoff Relations with other Organizations; Abram J. Liebovitz, Finance; William B. Leaf, Publications. Mr. Lipsky is Chairman of the Governing Council.
