The Executive of the World Zionist Organization issued today a statement with regard to the assassination of Israel DeHaan in Jerusalem. The statement was published in the anti-Zionist “Morning Post” as a reply to the suspicion expressed by that paper that DeHaan was assassinated by a Zionist.
The statement says that before the official investigation of the Palestinian Government is concluded and before the murderer is known, there is no justifiable ground for such suspicion.
The assertion that the orthodox Jews are in opposition to Zionism, the statement continues, is also untrue. The best proof to the contrary is the fact that the orthodox Mizrachi organization is a part of the World Zionist Organization, although it is true that there are differences of opinion among the various kinds of Zionists and orthodox Jews. However, differences of opinion exist, not only among the various Jewish religious communities, but also among the various Christian churches.
