Zionist groups in the United States, Britain and Canada today criticized the U.N. Security Council for adopting the resolution censuring Israel, while the New York Times, in an editorial, urged the Security Council to see to it that Israel’s request for a direct meeting with Jordan is acted upon.
“The United Nations must do what it can to force the two peoples together and to place the blame where it belongs if its summons to negotiations is disregarded,” the Times said. Statements against the resolution of censure were issued by the United Zionist-Revisionists of America, the United Zionist Council of Canada, the Zionist Federation of Great Britain and other Zionist groups in various countries.
