The independent representation which the Anglo-Jewish Association intends to make to the British Government with regard to the future of Palestine “is viewed with alarm” by the Zionist movement in England, it was emphasized today in a resolution adopted at a Zionist conference in Lancashire.

The conference adopted a resolution urging the Association to “refrain from action inconsistent with the determination of the overwhelming majority of the Jewish people for the creation of a Jewish Commonwealth in Palestine.” Another resolution condemned the “small and irresponsible terrorist groups” in Palestine and expressed regret at the attempt of the Palestine administration to place the responsibility for the acts of these groups upon the entire Jewish population.
