The death of Chaim Nachman Bialik, Hebrew poet laureate and an outstanding Zionist, will be marked with memorial exercises on Thursday, July 12 in every city of the country, it was announced yesterday by the Zionist organization. All Zionist districts in the United States will pay tribute to the leader of the modern Jewish Renaissance. New York City Jewry will pay its respects to the departed Jewish leader with services on Thursday at Carnegie Hall.
The Zionist offices at New York were closed yesterday. The condolences of the Jews of America were expressed in a cablegram sent yesterday by the Zionist organization to the Jewish National Council in Palestine, where the late poet maintained his residence.
