Published: 11/15/2007 The number of "nationalistic attacks" in Moscow has more than doubled from last year. The Moscow prosecutor's office said it has investigated 127 cases of extremism and interethnic conflicts, compared with 52 in 2006. The figures were posted Wednesday on a Russian human rights Web site. Moscow police have more than 20 organizations listed in its files as "inciting ethnic intolerance." Prosecutors went to court 34 times over extremist publications. The report mentioned three anti-Semitic newspapers by name: Duel, Zavtra and Russkaya Pravda. Also in Russia, a masked youth spray-painted anti-Semitic graffiti, including "Death to the kikes," on the walls of a Jewish community center on Nov. 9 in Izhevsk, in the Western Urals.
