After long path, female rabbi installed in German community

German Jewish leaders are hailing the installation of a female rabbi, Gesa Shira Ederberg, as a step forward for pluralism. The ceremony was unusual because Ederberg is not only the second female rabbi to serve in Germany, but also a converted Protestant.
