Approximately 40% of JTA's revenue comes from operations. These include service fees paid by client newspapers, national Jewish agencies and individual subscribers.

The remaining 60% comes from philanthropic sources, including Jewish community federations in the United States and Canada and contributions from the JTA Board of Directors.
