http://www.southerncalifornia.hadassah.org This past January, Hadassah Southern California organized a conference titled “Israel: The Tiny Green Giant; Its Role in Greening the World.” Speakers included Dr. Daryl Temkin, director of the Israel Institute-Green Technology Fund; Shai Aizin, Israel Consul for Economic Affairs, and Woodrow W. Clark II, one of 2,000 scientists on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate-Change (IPCC) who were co-recipients of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. Every attendee received HSC's Green Resource Guide, a compilation of personal action steps to be taken to help "green" our environment. Green Beanie judges were impressed that a longstanding organization was taking innovative steps to protect the future.
