Israeli mercenary arrested
An Israeli mercenary was arrested in Russia at the request of Colombian authorities.
Yair “Gal” Klein, who was convicted in Colombia in the late 1980s of training fighters for a drug cartel, was arrested Monday at a Moscow airport.
Russian authorities said Klein, 61, would be flown to Israel to await extradition to Colombia, where he is accused of fleeing a 10-year prison sentence. Israeli police had no immediate comment.
