Vandals desecrate Vienna cemetery
Vandals desecrated 101 graves at Vienna’s main cemetery, destroying 25 in the Jewish sector.
The damage was discovered Friday morning at Vienna Central Cemetery, according to The Associated Press. Police believe two vandals were involved and may have found DNA evidence at the scene.
A spree of vandalism has hit Jewish cemeteries in Europe throughout the past few months.
Some 64 headstones were smashed in Siberia’s Jewish cemetery in October, and 100 graves in a Jewish cemetery in southern Poland were spray-painted with swastikas and anti-Semitic phrases in August.
