Arrest of Nazi named Bach a hoax
The story about the arrest of a Nazi officer named Johann Bach has proven to be a hoax.
The report appeared in JTA’s Breaking News section under the headline “Nazi officer Bach arrested in India.”
Several reputable Indian newspapers had reported on their front pages http://www.telegraphindia.com/1080701/jsp/nation/story_9487179.jsp about an 88-year-old man named Johann Bach who was arrested in the Indian city Goa for being a high-level Nazi officer after bragging to Israeli tourists.
The JTA brief cited an article in the Telegraph of Calcutta.
