Depeche Mode to open tour in Israel
Depeche Mode is coming to Israel two years after canceling a concert there due to the Second Lebanon War.
The English electronic music band will kick off its upcoming world concert tour in the Jewish state. It will hold a news conference Monday in Berlin to announce its 2009 schedule, which will open in May, according to a report Sunday in the Israeli daily Ha’aretz.
The reason given for Depeche Mode canceling in the summer of 2006 was that the technical staff refused to make the trip.
