Kassam lands near Ashkelon
A Kassam rocket launched from Gaza by Palestinian terrorists landed near Ashkelon.
In response to Tuesday’s attack, Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered all crossings between Israel and Gaza to be closed on Wednesday.
The Hezbollah-Palestine organization claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in response to “ongoing Israeli transgressions against Palestinians,” Ynet quoted the group’s spokesman as saying.
More than 20 Kassam rockets have been fired from Gaza at Israel since an Israeli-Hamas cease-fire went into effect four months ago.
