Palestinian worker stabs four Israelis
(JTA ) -- A Palestinian worker stabbed four Jewish residents of a West Bank community, apparently in revenge for Israel's attack on Gaza.
The handyman, who was working Monday in the Jerusalem suburb of Modi'in Illit, said, "You closed our Gaza," and began stabbing an Israeli contractor he had known for four years, the news site Ynet reported. The assailant then exited the apartment building he was working in and began attacking people on the street.
The Palestinian was shot and seriously wounded by a paramedic who arrived at the scene.
In other revenge attacks, an IDF policeman was run over Saturday in eastern Jerusalem in an incident police say was a response to the Gaza attacks, and an 8-month-old baby girl was injured Sunday afternoon when Palestinians threw stones at the car she was in near South Mt. Hebron.
