Students hurt in school accident

NEW YORK (JTA) -- At least 20 girls were injured when a railing collapsed at a Jewish school in Brooklyn.

Students were treated at area hospitals after the accident Friday at Shaarei Torah Elementary School, The New York Times reported.

“It was an incredibly scary experience," said State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, who represents the neighborhood where the school is located.
