Soldier returns cash he stole from Palestinian
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- A soldier who stole a credit card from a Palestinian home during Israel's military operation in Gaza returned the money with interest.
The Givati Brigade soldier used the card to withdraw about $400. He was charged last week with looting and pleaded guilty to the theft.
A few days after the theft, the Palestinian lodged a complaint. The soldier was caught in part because of video footage taken of him withdrawing money from an ATM. He goes on trial Wednesday in military court.
