Soldiers fire at bombers near Gaza border
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Israeli soldiers patrolling near the Gaza border shot at Palestinians planting explosives near the Karni crossing.
No soldiers were injured in Monday's incident.
The attack came shortly after a mortar shell was fired from northern Gaza toward Israel. The shell, which exploded near the security fence, caused no injuries or damage, according to Ynet.
It was the third attack near the border fence in the past three weeks.
