Madoff won’t appeal sentence
NEW YORK (JTA) -- Bernard Madoff will not appeal the 150-year jail sentence he was given earlier this month, his attorney said.
"We are not going to be appealing," Ira Sorkin said Thursday, according to Reuters. "That's our decision and we have no further comment."
Madoff, who had confessed to an estimated $65 billion financial scam, has not been assigned a permanent prison.
