Palestinians, Israelis trade Gaza border fire
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Gaza Palestinians shot a rocket-propelled grenade at Israeli troops patrolling the border with Gaza.
No injuries were reported in Sunday night's incident near the Nahal Oz crossing near the northern Gaza Strip, according to reports.
Also Sunday, Israeli troops shot and wounded a Palestinian man who approached the Gaza fence. The man was wearing a heavy coat in the summer heat, leading the soldiers to suspect that he was carrying weapons.
The man, who was not carrying weapons or explosives, was seriously wounded in the abdomen and was brought to an Israeli hospital for care.
