18 Israeli deaths from swine flu
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- The weekend deaths of two men bring the number of Israeli deaths related to swine flu up to 18.
A 42-year-old resident of Tel Aviv who died on Saturday morning reportedly had a history of serious medical problems -- as have all but two of the Israeli H1N1 virus fatalities. A 62-year-old man with a severe chronic illness died Sunday from the virus.
The heads of Israel's hospitals met last week to discuss increasing staff levels in their intensive care departments.
