Madonna sings praises for Israel’s energy
(JTA) -- Madonna called Israel "the energy capital of the world" during a performance in Tel Aviv.
"If we can live together in harmony in this place, we can live in peace all over the world," she told the crowd of 50,000 Tuesday from the Hayarkon Park stage, the Jerusalem Post reported.
The concert was the singer's first in Israel in 16 years. Madonna has developed a bond with Israel after taking an interest in Kabbalah over the past few years.
Her concerts in Israel Tuesday and Wednesday were the final performances on her Sticky & Sweet tour.
