Memphis frat house painted with swastikas
(JTA) -- The future home of a Jewish fraternity in Tennessee was painted with swastikas.
The Zeta Beta Tau fraternity has not yet moved into the house on fraternity row at the University of Memphis, but the swastikas spray-painted Tuesday were accompanied by the message "welcome to frat row, Jews," according to media reports in Memphis.
The fraternity is purchasing the empty home from the university.
“I was a little intimidated at first, but it's quite possible it could be a fraternity prank they didn't realize the seriousness of the situation,” Thomas Holland, president of the ZBT chapter, told Eyewitness News Memphis.
