PrintProtests greet Olmert at University of Chicago
(JTA) -- Protesters demonstrated against a speech by Ehud Olmert at the University of Chicago.
About 150 protesters representing a coalition of Palestinian and Muslim groups protested Oct. 15 at the university as the former Israeli prime minister took the stage as part of the King Abdullah II Annual Leadership Lecture series at the Harris School of Public Policy Studies, according to the Chicago Tribune.
Some 400 people attended the speech, which was interrupted several times by protesters. Some 25 students were ejected from the hall during the speech.
A speech the previous evening at the University of Kentucky drew dozens of protesters, mostly members of the Islamic Society of Central Kentucky, the Lexington Herald Leader reported.
