Jews arrested in brawl over home ownership
(JTA) -- Israeli police detained six Jewish men who brawled with Arab residents of eastern Jerusalem over the ownership of a home.
Four Arabs from the Beit Safafa neighborhood were lightly wounded in the fight last Friday, including one by a gunshot in the hand, according to media reports.
The six Jewish men, all in their 50s, had driven into the neighborhood to argue over the home and gave the town residents an eviction order. The Jews initially fled the scene, telling police it was because they felt threatened.
