American Latina leaders visiting Israel
JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Twelve prominent American Latina leaders are visiting Sephardic heritage sites during a mission to Israel.
The women are senior figures from major American businesses, media networks and civic organizations. They are in Israel through March 14 with Project Interchange, an educational institute of the American Jewish Committee.
In addition to visits to Sephardic heritage sites, the delegation will meet with Israeli women of influence and receive briefings by Israeli leaders on foreign policy and Israel’s strategic landscape.
The group also is set to participate in discussions on immigration and absorption, and sessions highlighting Israel’s diverse makeup and efforts toward interfaith coexistence.
Participants include Leslie Sanchez, strategist and political commentator on networks including Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and Univision; Lisa Quiroz, senior vice president at Time Warner; and Ana Navarro, a political consultant.
