PrintFlier attacks Md. lawmakers as ‘bagel brain Jews’
(JTA) -- Two Maryland lawmakers were attacked in mailed fliers as "bagel brain Jews" for sponsoring tough firearms legislation.
The flier attacking Democratic state Sen. Brian Frosh and Republican state Delegate Samuel Rosenberg were sent to homes in the lawmakers' precincts and headlined "Bagel Brain Jews Want Your Bullets and Your Guns," the Baltimore Sun reported Saturday.
Frosh and Rosenberg are sponsors of a bill to tighten requirements for gun ownership and licensing of firearms vendors.
The fliers were produced by Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, according to the newspaper, and made available on its Web site. It was not clear who distributed them.
The group has about 6,500 members across the country, the Sun reported.
