JERUSALEM (JTA) -- Indian journalists are visiting Israel to learn more about the Indian-Israel relationship.
The journalists, from Hindi, Urdu and English-language media outlets, arrived in Israel this week as part of Project Interchange, an educational institute of the American Jewish Committee. Some of the journalists' publications target primarily Hindu or Muslim audiences.
Participants have seen demonstrations of Israeli innovations in such areas as water desalination and electric car technology. They also have met with their Israeli counterparts, and learned about bilateral partnerships between India and Israel.
The agenda has included discussions with experts on Israel’s history and foreign policy, as well as its economic, legal, political and security environments. They have talked, too, about immigration and absorption, and participated in sessions highlighting Israel’s diversity and efforts toward interfaith coexistence.
