Israeli coach to miss key game for Yom Kippur
(JTA) -- The Israeli coach of a British soccer club could miss a crucial game to observe Yom Kippur.
Avram Grant, manager of the West Ham United team in the Premier League, is rumored to be in danger of losing his job unless the team wins its Sept. 18 match against Stoke City Football Club, according to reports. West Ham lost on Saturday to his former club, Chelsea.
But the religiously traditional Grant will likely skip the game in order to observe Yom Kippur.
