Barney Frank to marry partner
(JTA) -- U.S. Rep. Barney Frank will marry his longtime partner, his spokesman confirmed.
Frank, 71, a Massachusetts Democrat who will retire from Congress at the end of the current term after 16 terms in the House of Representatives, will marry Jim Ready of Maine in a ceremony in Massachusetts, his spokesman confirmed Thursday.
No date had been set, according to reports.
Frank came out as gay in 1987, the first congressman to do so of his own volition.
