  • James Franco wrote a really strange poem for Obama’s inauguration

    James Franco, the man who does everything, had nothing better to do over the weekend than write a poem for President Obama, and the piece of literature is unintentionally hilarious.
    Just ahead of the release of his new poetry book next year, “Directing Herbert White,” the Hollywood Talent was commissioned by Yahoo! News to write a poem for Obama’s ceremony. The poem, titled “Obama in Ashville” doesn’t rhyme and isn’t particularly clever, but it features lines like, “finally, I got to shake his hand, he knew me from Spider-Man” and “I went to class and then the little burrito place where they know me.”
    A video of Franco reciting his poem hit the internet shortly after he wrote the poem, where he’s filmed rambling off the poem in a dull voice, perhaps equally unimpressed with his linear attempts.
