I am one of those conspiracy theorists who doubt Obama's strong, true commitment to Israel. I am also someone who participated in the very first event the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding held at the 96th Street Mosque in NYC. It was 3 years ago and the imam and Rabbi Schneir were to engage in a freewheeling discussion with only one ground rule: nobody could bring up the Middle East. Nope, I'm not kidding). During the question and answer session I asked the Imam if he would be willing to make a statement to his sister mosque in London (the largest in the UK) condemning the DVD they (still) sell depicting Jews as the descendants of apes and pigs. He was not. To this day FEU continues to sell its soul for headlines and glamorous parties with rappers. I have read JTA for years and my only request is that you change your name to reflect your deep and consistent bias. If your readers would like another take I suggest they check out Hip Hop Republlacan and Atlas Shrugs, two blogs that differ with your writer's assessments. We conspiracy theorists could not be more overjoyed that this great country has elected its first black president. We just wish it was a differentr black man or woman. Mostly, we could not be more disappointed in the American Jews who have helped elect the first President in thie history of the United States who will not stand by Israel in her hour of need.
