Mr Trupin writes : "we believe a path of peace is the only path that assures long term survival and prosperity" All shades of opinion agree on that one - except the Arabs! After all these years surely one can see that the Arabs will not agree to anything less than the demise of the Jewish state. The peacenik left confuses the issue and helps vitiate Israel's response to Arab bloodlust - they walk around in a fog of goodwill believing that Arabs want what the Jews want - peace and prosperity. Loving peace feels so good - so what if it has nothing to do with the case? Altogether now - lets sing 'Kumbaya' -and look at the chazzan who's leading the choir - its the president of the United States.!!! There will be peace eventually - a long time from now when the Arabs, exhausted, finally tell themselves 'Enough - we cant win - lets get on with it' But while they think they have a chance they will continue to terrorize. And every Jewish call for peace suggests to them that the Jews are losing heart and the Arabs are making progress, and it strengthens their committment to war. So Jewish peaceniks achieve the opposite of their intent - they move peace further down the road.

Surely this Obama decision must stick in the craws of Samantha Powers and Susan Rice. They didn't dream when they were appointed that they themselves would have to participate in gov't policies that would favor justice for Israel. I wish them a speedy recovery from their agita.

Fernando -There can never be peace - Palestinans will feel humiliated until every Jew leaves Israel. Their Prophet taught them that they must fight to the death - no peace treaties shall be honored... Islam must triumph totally....anything less is intolerable to them... Ben Calo - Besides incorrect grammar and infantile invective, your message is totally mistaken in its facts. 1-Israel did not break the cease fire - really, you have to follow the news more carefully, Calo 2-Israel hasn't placed Gaza residents anywhere at all - Israel pulled out of Gaza two years ago... 3- Exterminating Gazans? Isrtael is at war now because the Arabs wouldn't stop firing rockets at them. But really, Calo, you already knew all about the above. So now his humanitarian work assists in compromising the safety of his grandparent's people ... his sympathy for the Jewish victims of the Holocaust leads him to projects that threaten to victimize the Jews of Israel... I have never read of a proposal that gives the Arabs the territories but allows Jews to continue living there...Arabs live in Israel - why can't Jews live in 'Palestine'?...As a matter of fact, Arabs live wherever they please - Europe, the USA, Australia. By what logic can Jews be denied the same privilege? But it seems a law of nature that Arabs must be coddled and Jews must be abused.
