The problem with the Mosque stems from Islamic history, and building mosques on significant religious sites of those they have conquered. They have done this in every land conquered. An especially significant example of this is the Dome of the Rock build on Temple Mount. Remember, many Muslims cheered on 9/11, and view this attack as a victory against the Great Satan. Hence, the problem with the mosque being built on a building hit during the attack.

To all the the antiIsrael folks; GET REAL! We are all living on land we took from another tribe. Israel is being singled out because of racism/religiousism and the fact Jews tend to be successful because they work hard. Many new states were formed after WWII; why is no one protesting Syria? How about Jordan? What about all the new nations created since 1948? Israel was created in 1948, and the Arab refused to recognize it; attacked and lost. Israel won-deal with it. Prior to 1967 there were no settlements, but still Israel was attacked. Israel should pay compensation, and expel every Arab who will not sign a loyalty oath. A Deist, Feminist, Goy, Zionist. This is about justice not religion.

David Evans, You are off in your claim. The Holy Land was quite desolate prior to the arrival of the Jews. Read Churchill, Twain, and Marx for insight. sure there were Arabs living there, but similar to many indiginous groups, the land did not contain a "civilization" of any sort. It was a backwater, and ignored by the intolerant Arab World until Zionists started to settle. Try perusing the photographs of the land prior to Jews building a civilization there. Additionally, you fail to mention that the Zionists purchased the land, from the Ottoman Empire, with Rothchilde's money. More than 650,000 Jews were expelled from Arab lands during the 1950's, after the Arab had the asses kicked by Israel. Tiny Israel absorbed its brethren. Why won't the vase Arab World absorb their brethren? Because they hope to annihilate Israel, and are using their brethren as cannon fodder against Israel. A Deist, Feminist, Goy, Zionist.

Ah, David R. Evans, Why did the Nakba occur? The Arabs invaded; remember? They made their bed and now they can sleep in it. A Deist, Feminist, Goy, Zionist

Will, LOL, you are just as sterotypical as Cheryl. I am not a R, or D, I vote for who will do the best job. However, I know numerous R's and D's, and they are all different. The R's tend to believe in freedom, and do the I's, the D's seem to be the opposite and want the PC crap that is killing my land. English Instructor, Goy, Patriot, Zionist.

I am with ari, pay compensation to the Arabs to leave Israel, and I do mean Gaza and the West Bank as well. Then they can go to whatever land they wish. This will stop the violence. Jews need a homeland, as they have suffered discrimination in every land they settled in. In contrast, Arabs have 22 states , and refuse to settle their brethren. Why? Their honor and determination to annihilate Israel. Also, why do Arab never mention the650,000 Jews expelled from Arab land? Myopic vision to say the least.
