Will, of course you are right. People like Terry Rowe are morally bankrupt. And please don't tell me Rachel was supporting Palestinians, not Hamas. She died trying to stop Israelis from destroying a Hamas tunnel. That tunnel was used to aid in the murder of Israelis. That alone justifies her death. Being Palestinian is not the same as being evil. But doing anything to aid, abet or support terrorist murder is. That includes doing anything to support Hamas, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, or the Iranian regime. We need to make "martyrs" of such people before they do it themselves by murdering us.

Rachel Corrie died aiding and abetting Hamas. She was a terrorist and should have been shot on sight, as should all other Hamas supporters and collaborators.

Cheryl, I agree with you COMPLETELY. But even on the assumption that you are wrong, and that East Jerusalem is not lawfully part of Israel, there is only one concept under which Jews should not be allowed to settle there: apartheid. The same kind of apartheid which is the crux of the arab-Israeli conflict - lots of states for arabs, none for Jews. Arabs can live in Israel, Jews cannot live in the "future Palestine." Funny how the arab regimes are so guilty of all the evils they accuse Israel of: apartheid, ethnic cleansing, attempting to deprive a people of national determination. Rarely in history has there been such a clear case of real bad guys versus real good guys.

These are the people Israel is supposed to make concessions and sacrifices for? As Daniel Pipes points out, the only peaceful conclusion that can come from this conflict will come by winning the war against these people. The result of that may be that the only "Palestinian land" ends up being the grave.

The one state solution is the solution. Jordan can have the west bank (and its troublesome inhabitants) and Egypt can have Gaza (and its troublesome inhabitants. None of those inhabitants is ready, willing or able to maintain a nation of their own in the civilized world.

How strange it is that the same people who want to make it a crime to insult islam, who in fact issue death-threatening fatwas against those whom they perceive to insult islam, and at the same time issue cartoons in their press insutling Jews and Judaism, believe it is wrong to have illustrations of someone they believe to be one of their own queens, just because she happened to be a Jew who saved many other Persians who happened to be Jewish. This is an evil culture. Why do we pretend we are not in a war of civlilizations when we are? It is a culture whose existence on earth can no longer be excused, justified or tolerated.

Richard, you are right, I went much too far. I apologize for the comment. But how do we "do better" when we are faced with enemies whose primary tool is violence? Whose primary goal is the violent end of Israel and, let's admit it, the violent end of Jewish lives? I believe we have reached a point where there is no longer a non-violent way to deal with this threat. Where do we draw the line?

Why should the arabs pay penance for something they are only partially responsible for? There are so many other things they deserve complete blame for, living with Israel could never be punishment enough!
