"ethnic cleansing" is the expulsion, imprisonment, or killing of an ethnic minority by a dominant majority in order to achieve ethnic homogeneity. Yup, that sounds like what so many politicians, organizations and others want to have happen to the Jews who live in the disputed territories. Kevin, please check your definitions, your history and current reality before raising absurd comparisons. And please check them before responding to this comment.

Just as non-profits don't have to open their books to reveal their donors, once the question has been raised, eyebrows may also rise when the books stay closed. The best way to dispel the notion that there is something to hide is by not hiding anything. "Sunshine is the best disinfectant."

Oh boy, not this again. #1 in the 1920's the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem issued a fatwa declaring the Mamilla Cemetery was no longer sacred ground, if that hadn't happened, there could not have been #2: in 1929 Arabs removed graves and built the Palace Hotel on top of the cemetery's southern portion, nor could there have been #3: soon afterwards, the Muslim Supreme Council began developing plans to build a pan-Islamic university on the entire cemetery grounds - plans for this and donors' names can be found online. This project was scrapped due to lack of funds. Of course honoring the religious sites of others is important, but re-airing this particular controversy and wringing our Jewish hands does not advance that Jewish value. And putting aside the desecration to the Jews, both Abraham and Joseph were Prophets according to Islam and, ahem, their burial sites have both been trashed by Muslims - were those acts condemned by the litigants in this case? Well gee, Ron. Here's a difference between the two: many of the pro-Palestinian NGOs are funding groups that are not only illegal, but are murderous terrorists who believe it is a positive thing to kill children, women and men. If I had to focus on outing one thing full time, I would choose to investigate and write about the terrorism-enablers rather than Jews who want to live, breathe and build in any area of the Middle East. And the reason you prefer the NYT choice is.....?
