In this regard, the executive could take its lead from developments in Toronto, Canada. The Orthodox rebbetzins have established a movement known as Sasson V' Simcha which encourages regular meetins at which the names of singles desirous of meeting other singles are introduced. Various social events are encouraged with volunteers taking the lead. It is time the Conservative movement took the initiative in this rewgard. The ppurpose would be to set up nationwide groups to encourage the meetings of Jewish singles.
