Back in August, we ran a news item about a mohel in Ukraine who performed his 4,500th circumcision. According to Chabad, which was the source for the story, the mohel, Chabad-Lubavitch emissary Rabbi Yaacov Gaissinovitch, performed 22 in a single day at a Jewish summer camp in Dnepropetrovsk (on Jewish boys who had never been circumcised as infants).

In a first-of-its-kind partnership, the Orthodox Union is working with some prominent Modern Orthodox Jews in Houston to promote America’s fourth-largest city as a more affordable, pleasant and viable alternative to life in the dense Orthodox Jewish communities of New York.

While few Jewish critics of Barack Obama might go as far as the publisher of the Atlanta Jewish Times did in a recent column that included a passage about assassinating the president, it doesn’t take much looking to find Jewish detractors of Obama who believe he has sinister motives when it comes to the Jews and Israel.
